Latte Theater, one of our local gems for youth and young adult performing arts, is opening up auditions for its Summer 2025 Intensive—and there’s an exciting new twist: college students accepted into the program will receive free tuition, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor.

Auditions and interviews are taking place this week, June 9–15, for high school and college students eager to sharpen their acting skills in a fast-paced, professional-level environment. This is more than a traditional summer production—it’s an immersive experience that fosters collaboration, performance training, and personal growth.

Participants will work closely with Latte’s director, alongside a mix of returning teen cast members and new faces. The Summer Intensive includes workshops, promotional opportunities (including a professional headshot), and live performances from July 23–27.

Rehearsals are held weekdays in Brookfield, just off the Burlington Northern line, making it an easy commute for students across the area. Mandatory tech rehearsals begin July 18.

This season’s featured shows include classic favorites like Blithe Spirit, Harvey, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Sense and Sensibility, chosen to highlight cast strengths and create magical on-stage moments.

💬 “We’re so thankful for the community support—and for the angel donor who made free tuition possible for our college actors,” shared the director, who is still recovering from a tough case of pneumonia and bronchitis. “But the show must go on—and we can’t wait to welcome a new group of talented performers this summer!”
