Between family obligations and the pressures of finding the perfect gift, the holidays can go by in a flash. But at this time of year, we’re reminded that it’s also a season of giving.
Fornaro Law has launched an initiative that can spread the holiday spirit twice as far by providing meals to those in need as well as supporting La Grange small businesses that need help now.
Through December 31, 2020, Fornaro Law will purchase $25.00 in La Grange Business Association gift certificates for each person that visits the Park District of La Grange Christmas Tree display at Waiola Park, takes a picture of themselves hanging an ornament on the Fornaro Law tree, and posts the picture or video on Facebook by tagging Fornaro Law.
The gift certificates will then be shared with local nonprofits including Pillars, Beds Plus, the LeaderShop, and Interfaith Community Partners to give to those in need during these very difficult times. In addition, some gift certificates will also be provided to the La Grange Memorial Hospital Foundation to share with workers on the front lines of this pandemic.
“We hope that this Christmas tree initiative will also help support our local businesses and restaurants in January when they will need it the most,” said Phil Fornaro. “If it accomplishes that, then this little tree should be renamed ‘The Giving Tree.”
