Millennial Mart, a one-of-a-kind, family-owned, modern convenience store opens its doors in River North.
A high end convenience store with a focus on healthy living and an eye towards the future is now open for business and looking to attract the young, urban workers in the area. A contemporary warm space equipped with WIFI and a patron seating area offers a wide assortment of grab-and-go fresh products, great tasting coffee and delicious baked goods is looking to become the local neighborhood hangout in River North. As a neighborly offer, Millennial Mart is giving 15% off of purchases to NEXT Apartments’ tenants and surrounding neighborhood residents and businesses through July 31st, 2017.
This eye-catching Mart, located on the ground floor of Next Apartments at 848 N. Orleans, Chicago, is one of the newest additions to the trendy and continually-evolving River North area. “We are incredibly excited to have Millennial Mart as a tenant in the building. This urban convenience store concept, with healthy and on-the-go options, is a much welcomed amenity for our tenants and the River North neighborhood” stated Lindsey Senn with Fifield Companies. The Millennial Mart offers over 500 products with over 30 fresh food, gluten-free, and organic choices. Its hot coffee is made fresh every day and can be complemented with a wide variety of delicious baked goods. Store owners, the Shah family, know the importance of making available an array of health and beauty items as well as energy drinks, full line of power bars and a wide variety of frozen organic foods for its neighbors on the go. Millennial Mart is open from 7 AM to 8 PM Monday thru Friday, 8 AM to 8 PM Saturday, 9 AM to 6 PM on Sunday.
Millennial Mart is owned by the Shah family who has over 20 years of experience with convenience stores. The vision for the Mart had been in the minds and hearts of the Shah family for some time and when Shailabh Shah graduated from architecture at UIC, he reached out to Chris Frye, a prior professor and owner of (r)evolution architecture to make the family dream a reality. Mr. Shah states, “Through our partnership with (r)evolution architecture and others, we were able to create a modern and welcoming store. We will be focused on providing quality and freshness, as well as a great experience for the community of River North.” The interior features a clean and modern design with clear visibility of the various products both in the islands and in coolers along the back of the store. It is a store with seating available for its patrons, complete with wireless charging stations and WIFI. “Our goal is to help inspire and motivate consumers to experience unique and moving architecture of all scales” stated Chris Frye, owner of (r)evolution architecture. “This inviting, upscale and modern space came to life through a collaborative effort with the Shah family, along with ECL Engineering, Synergy Construction, and Fifield Companies. We are grateful for everyone’s engagement and partnership.”
