Volunteer Opportunities

Every great art festival is powered by people who love art, community, and helping others. Whether you’re looking to meet local artists, earn volunteer service hours, or simply be part of one of La Grange’s signature events, we’d love to have you on the team.

West End Arts Fest brings together talented artists from across the country, live music, hands-on art experiences, and thousands of visitors for a weekend celebrating creativity. As a volunteer, you’ll help create the welcoming atmosphere that has made the festival a favorite tradition for 30 years.

No art experience is required—just a friendly attitude and a willingness to help.

Available Positions

Creative Activities Assistant

Help bring the interactive side of the festival to life.

Depending on the activity, you might:

  • Assist children and families with art projects
  • Help set up and replenish supplies
  • Welcome participants and answer questions
  • Keep activity areas organized
  • Support special community art projects and demonstrations

If you enjoy working with people and helping others be creative, this is a great role.

Artist Relief Volunteers

One of the most appreciated volunteer positions at the festival.

Artists often spend long hours in their booths and may need a quick break for lunch, coffee, or the restroom. Artist Relief Volunteers provide short booth coverage so artists can step away with confidence while someone keeps an eye on their display and greets visitors.

No sales experience is required—you’ll simply welcome guests, answer basic questions when possible, and contact the artist if someone is interested in making a purchase.

Many volunteers enjoy this role because it offers an opportunity to meet artists from around the country and learn about their work.

  • Support local arts and culture
  • Meet artists and fellow volunteers

  • Earn community service hours (if applicable)

Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or multiple shifts, every volunteer helps make West End Arts Fest a welcoming experience for artists and visitors alike.
