Scoop Up Some Creativity at “Ice Cream & Imagination”

What happens when you combine a canvas, colorful paint, and a scoop of homemade ice cream?

You get Ice Cream & Imagination, a creative collaboration between two longtime La Grange favorites: La Grange Art League and Tate’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream Shop.

Designed for young artists ages 6 and up, this special event invites children to paint their own fantasy ice cream creation before celebrating with a delicious ice cream treat from Tate’s. It’s an afternoon that blends creativity, imagination, and one of summer’s favorite desserts.

The partnership is a natural fit.

Founded in 1933, the La Grange Art League has spent more than 90 years inspiring creativity through classes, workshops, exhibitions, and community programs. Located at 122 Calendar Avenue, the nonprofit continues its mission of making art accessible to artists of all ages and skill levels.

Just a few blocks away, Tate’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream Shop has been serving homemade ice cream in downtown La Grange for more than three decades. Known for making its ice cream on-site and dreaming up creative seasonal flavors, Tate’s has become a favorite destination for families throughout the community.
