For Olga Boldyreva, owner of MION Artisan Soap, clean living isn’t just a brand—it’s a way of life. What began as a personal journey to find relief from eczema evolved into a full-fledged business rooted in natural wellness, sustainability, and family values.
Founded in 2015, MION is a true family affair. The name itself is an acronym drawn from their family: Matei, Iulian, Olga, and their last name, Nedelea. Together, they’ve built a business that reflects their holistic lifestyle—focused on wellness, simplicity, and kindness to both people and the planet.
Olga’s inspiration was deeply personal. Struggling with her own skin issues and concerned about her daughter’s sensitive skin, she immersed herself in the world of natural oils, herbs, and butters—experimenting, researching, and ultimately creating her own remedy. That first handmade lotion didn’t just soothe her eczema—it sparked a movement. What began at a farmer’s market table has grown into a beloved business offering soaps, skincare, candles, home essentials, and more.

Every product is handcrafted in small batches using the highest-quality ingredients—always free of preservatives, parabens, synthetic fragrances, or artificial colors. Their vibrant hues come naturally from powerful herbs, and their scents are derived from pure essential oils. Popular items include stretch mark balms, activated charcoal soaps, bug repellent sprays, pet care products, and seasonal releases.
Now with three retail locations—in La Grange, Wheaton, and St. Charles—MION has also become a proud new member of the La Grange Business Association (LGBA). Olga praises the LGBA community for their support, introductions, and promotional efforts.

And what’s next? A big sale at the end of the month, continued growth, and more opportunities to help customers feel great in their own skin.
As for Olga’s favorite part of the work? That’s easy: the friendly environment and knowing she’s making a difference—one handcrafted bar at a time.
