For decades, Gemini Gymnastics Academy has been helping kids in the La Grange area build confidence, strength, and resilience—one cartwheel at a time. Founded by Chris Kozelka Campbell, Gemini has grown into a community staple known for its positive, child-first approach to gymnastics and movement.

A Different Kind of Gymnastics Experience
Gemini offers gymnastics, tumbling, and Ninja programs for children starting as young as age two. But what sets the academy apart isn’t just the programming—it’s the philosophy behind it.

At Gemini, the focus is simple but intentional: teach the child first, and the sport second. That means meeting each student where they are, encouraging progress at their own pace, and building both physical skills and mental confidence in a supportive environment.
Built on Core Values
That approach is grounded in a strong set of values that families quickly recognize:
- People First – Prioritizing the well-being of every child
- Growth Mindset – Encouraging learning, effort, and resilience
- Never Settle – Continuously improving programs and experiences
- Happy Helpers – Creating a positive, uplifting environment
- Batteries Included – Showing up ready to support families without added friction
It’s not just a checklist—it’s something families feel the moment they walk through the door.

A Story That Started with Partnership
The name “Gemini” comes from more than just a zodiac sign—it reflects a long-standing partnership. Chris and Program Director Nicole King began coaching together as teenagers and have worked side-by-side ever since. That continuity shows in the culture of the gym, where many coaches have deep roots in the program—some even growing up through it themselves.

Deep Roots in the Community
Gemini’s connection to the La Grange area runs just as deep. With ties to Brookfield, Lyons Township High School, and the surrounding community, the academy has remained committed to staying local and engaged.
You’ll find Gemini:
- Supporting local schools and organizations
- Participating in community events like the Farmers Market
- Bringing energy and creativity to local initiatives and activations
- Looking Ahead
While Gemini has been part of the community for many years, the focus hasn’t shifted—they’re still evolving. From facility updates to program enhancements, the goal remains the same: continue creating a space where kids can grow into confident, capable individuals.
