LGBA members are invited to join FNBC Bank & Trust for an evening of networking and a rare look at a unique piece of American history.
FNBC Bank & Trust will host “Signed by History: The Presidential Check Collection” on Thursday, September 17, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at its La Grange location, 620 W. Burlington Avenue.
The evening will combine networking and refreshments with an opportunity to view FNBC Bank & Trust’s collection of presidential signatures and historic checks.
Since 1975, FNBC Bank & Trust has assembled one of the nation’s most complete collections of presidential signatures, featuring checks signed by nearly every U.S. President. The collection offers an unusual glimpse into both presidential history and the evolution of American banking.
Among the collection’s highlights are checks connected to presidents including George Washington, John F. Kennedy, Millard Fillmore and John Adams. The collection also traces banking history through documents ranging from Monroe’s handwritten note to the printed checks of Lincoln, Ford and Carter.
