For adults (age 18+) of all fitness levels, this free program (funded through a grant from Lyons Township Mental Health Commission) blends gentle movement—such as stretching, functional exercises, balance, and light strength work—with mindfulness practices like deep breathing and guided reflection.
Led by trained instructors, Mindful Movement supports stress reduction, strength building, mobility, and healthy lifestyle habits in a welcoming and supportive environment.
RSVP to our one-hour sessions which includes:
- A brief, inspiring message on the benefits of physical activity, mental wellness, and mindfulness (our “why” for being there!)
- 35–40 minutes of guided movement and 5–10 minutes of mindfulness practice
- About 5 minutes for unstructured social connection and optional one-on-one consultation with instructors as needed
At the end of each session, participants receive a resource packet to support their ongoing physical and mental well-being.
