There are birthdays… and then there’s whatever Wooden Paddle has planned.
In what can only be described as a fit of silliness (in the best possible way), Wooden Paddle has announced that its wood-fired pizza ovens will stay on until midnight on Friday, July 17, as part of its upcoming 13th birthday celebration.
Officials declined to explain.
Instead, the owners issued what appears to be their only statement on the matter:
“We turned 13 and lost our minds.”
That certainly explains a few things.
Endless Pizza. DJ. Two Hours. Zero Restraint.
The birthday celebration kicks off at 10:00 PM and keeps the ovens firing until midnight, giving guests two hours to enjoy all the wood-fired pizza they can eat while a live DJ keeps the party going.
For $29, it’s a late-night celebration that’s less about blowing out candles and more about seeing just how many slices you can tackle before the clock strikes twelve.
No one at Wooden Paddle has explained why this seemed like a good idea. They simply insist it’s happening.
Two Locations. Twice the Celebration.
Whether you’re closer to La Grange or Lemont, you’re in luck. Wooden Paddle is hosting the Endless Pizza Party at both locations, giving pizza fans two opportunities to join the festivities.
It’s a fitting way to celebrate a baker’s dozen of serving handcrafted wood-fired pizzas, creative seasonal specials, and becoming one of Chicagoland’s favorite neighborhood pizza destinations.
