PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Award-Winning 52nd Annual La Grange Craft Fair Returns July 11–12 with More Than 200 Juried Artists from Nine States

LA GRANGE, Ill. (June 29, 2026) — Recognized as one of the nation’s premier craft shows, the 52nd Annual La Grange Craft Fair returns to downtown La Grange on Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, bringing together more than 200 juried artists from nine states for one of the Midwest’s longest-running and most celebrated handmade art events.

Produced through a partnership between Craft Productions, Inc., the La Grange Business Association, and the Village of La Grange, the free two-day event has earned national recognition, including previous honors from Sunshine Artist Magazine as one of the nation’s Top 20 Craft Shows. As the largest and best-attended outdoor show produced by Craft Productions, Inc., the La Grange Craft Fair has become a summer tradition for collectors, families, and visitors seeking exceptional handcrafted artwork.

From original paintings and photography to woodworking, ceramics, jewelry, textiles, soaps, glass art, home décor, and mixed media, every exhibitor is selected for offering handcrafted work—giving visitors the opportunity to meet the artists behind each creation while discovering pieces unavailable through traditional retail stores.

This year’s fair showcases talented makers from throughout the Midwest while also celebrating local artists from La Grange and neighboring communities. Featured exhibitors include Crow’s Garden, creator of handmade plush toys designed from original patterns; Kinderbuilt, whose handcrafted outdoor play stations were created by a local teacher and woodworker; Dorn & Nick’s Design Studio, known for transforming antique coins and vintage silverware into distinctive jewelry; My Eye on the World, featuring striking fine art photography; and Glassbound Gardens, whose miniature scenes combine ethically sourced insects with natural elements beneath glass.

Visitors can also discover artwork inspired by La Grange itself. UnCommon Coasters will feature custom travertine coasters showcasing iconic local landmarks, while Al’s Toy Photography brings beloved community locations to life through imaginative miniature scenes, including the historic La Grange Theatre.

Artists traveling from across the region will bring handcrafted wood art, polymer clay jewelry, seasonal home fragrances, cocktail infusion kits, bath and body products, colorful mixed-media artwork, and one-of-a-kind home décor. Throughout the weekend, visitors can also watch Greg Macdonald Studios demonstrate the art of traditional hand-carving near the Village Hall fountain.

“The La Grange Craft Fair is a highlight of the summer and a wonderful opportunity to showcase everything that makes our downtown special,” said Village President Mark Kuchler. “Our outstanding local retailers, restaurants, and small businesses make La Grange a vibrant shopping and dining destination year-round. We’re excited to welcome more than 200 talented artists, along with the thousands of visitors who will spend the weekend exploring the fair, supporting local businesses, and experiencing the energy and hospitality that define our community.”

“The La Grange Craft Fair is about discovering something unexpected,” said Dan Mulka, Executive Director of the La Grange Business Association. “Whether it’s meeting an artist who’s traveled from across the Midwest, finding a handcrafted piece you’ll treasure for years, or simply spending the day exploring our vibrant downtown, the weekend offers an experience that’s different every time you visit. After 52 years, we’re proud to continue bringing exceptional artists to La Grange while welcoming thousands of visitors to experience everything our community has to offer.”

“We’re seeing an intentional shift away from ordering online, and new enthusiasm for shopping face to face,” said Rebecca Thomas, Event Manager at Craft Productions, Inc.  “It’s a fundamentally different experience to hold a handmade item in your hands, chat with the creator, and hear the inspiration behind it. There’s a sense of connection to both art and community that you don’t get when you shop online. This year’s fair features more than 200 booths from 9 states, so it’s an incredible opportunity to discover new makers you might not find at other local markets.

The 52nd Annual La Grange Craft Fair takes place Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the heart of downtown La Grange, primarily along La Grange Road.

Admission is free.

Visitors are encouraged to make a full day of their visit by exploring La Grange’s locally owned restaurants, cafés, boutiques, and specialty shops before or after browsing the fair. For those traveling from outside the area, the event is conveniently located adjacent to the La Grange Road Metra Station, making it easily accessible by both train and car.
