2026 Vendor Instructions

VENDOR INSTRUCTIONS

Load-in: Dropping off things to set-up for the market

Load-out: Picking up things to leave the market

LOAD IN TIMES

Group A (in blue on the map): 5:00 – 5:30am

Group B (in red on the map): 5:30 – 6:00am

When arriving, unload everything from your vehicle, move your vehicle, and then come back to your space to set up.

All spaces, except those inside the lot, will be marked on the ground with small pieces of black tape.

Suggested place to TEMPORARILY park to unload

Please note the highlighted section of 6th Avenue, which is to the east of the La Grange Parking Structure. In the morning, you are able to temporarily park here to unload.

  • Please pull all the way to the right.
  • Use your flashers.
  • Do NOT block any driveways or block any remaining cars in.
  • When pulling forward, leave enough room for you to pull out.
  • When you have unloaded, move your vehicle to a legal parking spot.

This temporary parking is only available before 6:30am. It is unavailable after that time. We cannot use this area for loading after the market.

WHERE TO PARK

The two highlighted areas (parking structure and parking lot) are the two recommended places to park. Please make sure that you park legally and do not block any flows of traffic. Other parking spots are subjected to time limits, and you are responsible for parking fines from parking in those spots.

VENDOR LOAD-OUT

Can I drive to my spot to load out?

On-street vendors. No.

In-lot vendors. Yes.

Why the difference? This is due to safety precautions and the amount of space that we have to work with. This also has to do with our in-lot vendors having multiple spaces and the need to drop things off.

In-lot vendors, please use caution and exercise patience during load out.

·       As in-lot vendors vacate, there may be opportunities to move a car into the lot – but we cannot guarantee this.

During load out, Harris Ave functions as a one-way going west.

How much time do I have to load-out?

There is not a specific time limit for load-out, however we do have to be mindful of getting streets and parking lots back open for public use. You may be asked to move along for the greater good. Anyone abusing the time or disregarding instructions from Village or LGBA Staff may be subject to warnings, potential removal from the market, or not being asked to return.

WEATHER

What happens if there’s bad weather?

Weather happens — and we do our best to keep the market open. However, we also follow Village rules. If we’re asked to cancel, delay, or close early, we will.

Here’s what you need to know:

DELAYED OPENING

If bad weather (like thunderstorms, tornado warnings, snow etc.) makes it unsafe to start on time, updates will be shared via email, social media, and LGBA website. Please keep your phone handy on market mornings.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE

If severe weather rolls in during the market (like a thunderstorm), we may pause the market temporarily for everyone’s safety.

·       You’ll get a heads-up so you can prepare.

·       If lightning is spotted within 5 miles, we’ll close the market for at least 20 minutes.

·       The 20-minute clock resets with each new lightning strike.

EARLY CLOSING

If dangerous weather is expected to last all day, we may call for an early close. This gives you time to pack up safely.

We only do this when absolutely necessary.

Updated Map

Thank you again for your enthusiasm and commitment to making our farmers market a wonderful experience for all. We’re looking forward to another fantastic season together!

With gratitude,

Tess Lewandowski
