Music, neighbors and community support will come together in Brookfield on Saturday, August 22, as the fifth annual Raymond Unplugged community concert and block party raises support for BEDS Plus in La Grange.
Presented by Music & Potlucks, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the event will take place from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at 3525 Raymond Avenue in Brookfield.
Raymond Unplugged brings the community together around live music while supporting the work of organizations addressing important local needs. This year’s event will benefit BEDs Plus and its efforts in the community.
“Homelessness and food insecurity are on the rise,” said Stephanie Schrodt, director of Music & Potlucks. “Our mission is to partner with other organizations and do what we can to help. Last year we raised over $2,200 for BEDs and delivered a couple of carloads of groceries and toiletries for their food bank.”
The fifth annual event offers area residents an opportunity to enjoy an evening in the community while supporting an organization serving individuals and families in need!
