Opened in April 2026, Friendly Neighborhood Orthodontist offers orthodontic care for patients of all ages, including braces, Invisalign, expanders, Phase 1 treatment, and space maintenance. Best of all, they offer free consultations for anyone interested in exploring their options.
The practice’s unique name was inspired by Marvel’s Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
“I wanted the office to feel approachable and welcoming,” Dr. Patel says. “We’ve built the practice around being friendly, community-focused, and a place where both kids and adults feel comfortable.”
That philosophy extends to every patient experience. Dr. Patel describes himself as a laid-back orthodontist who believes patients should feel informed, involved, and in control of their treatment decisions.
“We’re a fun and friendly orthodontic practice with modern technology, but more importantly, we put patients first in everything we do.”
Owning his own practice has long been a personal goal.
“I’ve always dreamed of having my own office,” he says. “Now I get to bring my own approach to orthodontics while putting down roots here in La Grange.”
And there may be no better summary of why he chose this profession than his favorite line:
“I get to make people smile for a living—there is no better job.”
Why La Grange?
For Dr. Patel, choosing La Grange was an easy decision.
He was drawn to the community’s rich history, strong local pride, and the growing number of young families making La Grange home. He’s excited to become part of the community for years to come and looks forward to building relationships with local schools, neighboring businesses, and referring healthcare providers.

One fun fact about Dr. Patel is that he was born and raised in Zambia, a small country in southern Africa, and is fluent in five languages.
Getting Involved
Although Friendly Neighborhood Orthodontist has only been an LGBA member for a couple of months, Dr. Patel has already enjoyed attending the Association’s monthly member meetings.
“I love seeing so many young business owners sharing their ideas and talents,” he says.
He’s also looking forward to taking advantage of LGBA programs like marketing opportunities and the practice’s upcoming ribbon cutting.
