On Saturday, August 23, the community is invited to an unforgettable evening of music, community spirit, and compassion at the Unplugged Acoustic Concert & Block Party benefiting BEDS Plus Care. The event will run from 4:00 to 9:00 pm in the front yard at 3525 Raymond Avenue in Brookfield, with a rain date scheduled for Wednesday, August 27.
Headlining the night is acclaimed folk musician Mark Dvorak & Friends, offering a performance that’s described as funny, passionate, intimate, and unforgettable. Dvorak, known for his storytelling and masterful songwriting, will set the stage for an evening of heartfelt tunes and community connection.
The event is free to attend, family-friendly, and open to all. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair, a snack or beverage, and an open heart. Donations to support BEDS Plus are welcome and appreciated.
BEDS Plus Care provides emergency services such as overnight shelter, housing support, and homelessness prevention to individuals and families in Southwest Suburban Cook County. Events like this help raise awareness and much-needed support for their vital mission.
The evening is hosted in partnership with Music & Potlucks, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that uses the power of music and shared meals to support neighbors in need.
