Couples looking to strengthen their relationship and build practical skills for navigating challenges together will have an opportunity this spring through a full-day Couples Workshop based on The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. The virtual workshop will take place Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (CST) via Zoom and is designed to help partners improve communication, deepen appreciation and affection, and develop tools for addressing both solvable and ongoing relationship challenges.
Participants will explore key relationship concepts such as increasing fondness and appreciation, managing conflict effectively, addressing perpetual problems, and creating shared meaning in their partnership. The workshop includes six hours of relationship education through presentations, demonstrations, and interactive exercises, along with workshop materials including a copy of The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, two workbooks, and card decks designed to guide relationship conversations.
The program is open to couples at any stage of their relationship—including those who are dating, engaged, married, separated, or domestically partnered—and welcomes both traditional and non-traditional relationships.

The workshop will be led by two licensed therapists who both practice in the La Grange area: Megan John, LCPC, CRC of Oak Savanna Counseling and Meg Lestina, LCSW, CAMS-II of Positively Psyched.
