LA GRANGE, Il. (Oct. 30, 2025) – It’s that time of year again! The Village of La Grange and the La Grange Business Association are welcoming in the holiday season with a community celebration, “La Grange Hometown Holiday, Wrapped in Timeless Traditions.” The festivities include exciting promotions at local shops and restaurants and cherished traditions, both new and old.

Located just 13 miles west of downtown Chicago on the BNSF Metra commuter train line, La Grange is an ideal destination for holiday shopping, dining, and memory-making. Beginning on Small Business Saturday, the village will promote shopping small and helping visitors create holiday memories with special events, sales promotions, enchanting holiday displays, and other holiday surprises throughout December.

It feels like stepping right into a classic holiday movie” said Village President, Mark Kuchler. “We invite our neighbors to stop by La Grange this holiday season to experience that timeless joy, whether they are shopping for unique gifts from our local retailers, dining at our delicious restaurants, or just soaking up the festive atmosphere during our annual Holiday Walk. We hope La Grange’s Hometown Holidays provides an opportunity for everyone to slow down and create special memorable moments with loved ones.”

Small Business Saturday Flash Sale – Saturday, November 29

  • Flash Sale Deals are on! For customers looking for great deals, La Grange businesses will be holding a Flash Sale with special offers and deep discounts for a limited time, making it the perfect way to kick off your holiday gift-buying.

La Grange Holiday Walk – Saturday, December 6

  • A beloved tradition returns to La Grange. Look for Enchanted Events like the arrival of Santa by firetruck, the lighting of the majestic tree at Village Hall, the Village Sing with holiday choirs, and meet-and-greets with beloved children’s movie characters. ‘12 Days of Timeless Traditions’ Promotion – Starting in December

  • Santa and Mrs. Claus are spreading old-fashioned holiday cheer as they visit charming retail shops throughout La Grange. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be visiting 12 retail locations, giving a sneak peek into special holiday deals and Mrs. Claus-approved gifts at area retailers. A Picture Perfect Holiday

This year, visitors can revel in the timeless magic of the season with enchanting new oversized decorations adorning the Village Hall grounds,perfect for creating treasured family memories. Climb aboard a beautifully crafted sleigh that comfortably seats four (or more!) and a grand display featuring 12-foot-tall nutcrackers standing proudly beside candy canes reaching 10 feet high. These festive additions join the beloved lights and displays that have long made downtown La Grange a favorite holiday destination for families.
