Member Center: LGBA Member Blog Contribution Program

The La Grange Business Association invites members to share their expertise, community involvement, and upcoming events through the LGBA website blog.

Member blog articles help highlight the knowledge and services of local businesses while providing useful information to the La Grange community.

This program is a member benefit and is available to businesses based on their membership level.

Short on Time?

We understand that many business owners are busy and may not have time to write a full article.

Members may also choose to submit basic information, bullet points, or event details, and LGBA will use AI to help draft a blog article on your behalf.

You will have the opportunity to review and approve the article before it is published.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Submit information for an AI-assisted article at the bottom of this page.ย  (Please read the rest of the page for other guidelines)

Article Submission Limits

Members may submit blog articles based on their membership tier:

  • Bronze Members: Up to 2 articles per calendar year

  • Silver Members: Up to 4 articles per calendar year

  • Gold Members: Up to 8 articles per calendar year

  • Platinum Members: Up to 10 articles per calendar year

Members may submit multiple articles at one time. However, LGBA determines the publication schedule in order to maintain a balanced content calendar.

Submission does not guarantee immediate publication.

Content Guidelines

Blog posts should provide value to readers and reflect the professional standards of the LGBA website.

Articles should:

  • Provide informational, educational, or community-focused content

  • Be relevant to the La Grange community or local business environment

  • Typically be between 400โ€“800 words (shorter event announcements are acceptable)

Promotional references to a business, service, or event are permitted when they are part of a broader informational article. Articles should not be written purely as advertisements.

  • Overt political advocacy or campaign-related content

  • Offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language

  • False or misleading claims

Articles may reference broader issues (such as economic trends or industry impacts) when relevant, but should not advocate political positions.

Accuracy of Information

Contributors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information contained in their article.

If inaccuracies are discovered after publication, LGBA may request corrections and reserves the right to edit or remove the article if necessary.

Links

A limited number of relevant links may be included in an article, such as:

  • The authorโ€™s business website

  • Event registration pages

  • Credible reference sources

LGBA may remove or modify links that are excessive, promotional in nature, or unrelated to the article content.

Images

Contributors may submit images to accompany their article. Images must be owned by the contributor or properly licensed for use.

LGBA may resize, crop, or adjust images to meet website formatting requirements.
