Latte Theater is opening auditions for its upcoming production of The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis, a clever and thought-provoking play that explores temptation, morality, and the human soul through a darkly comic lens.
Before shows like The Good Place, Lewis penned this timeless classic, bringing audiences into the bureaucratic underbelly of Hell. The story follows Wormwood, an eager but inexperienced junior demon, tasked with securing the soul of a lovable human. Overseeing his efforts is his uncle and mentor, Screwtape, whose shrewd and often biting advice exposes the vulnerabilities of human nature. The results are both fiendishly funny and deeply meaningful, reminding us of the eternal tension between good and evil, heaven and hell.
This unique production promises audiences a sharp, witty, and unforgettable theatrical experience.
