La Grange’s business and professional community has a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on local students.
La Grange School District 102 is coordinating a District-wide Career Day and is currently seeking speakers to share their career journeys with students across the district. Organized by the District’s Family Liaisons, Career Day is designed to introduce students to a wide range of career paths and help them connect classroom learning to real-world opportunities.
Why Career Day Matters
Career Day gives students:
- An up-close look at different professions
- Insight into the education and skills required for various careers
- A clearer understanding of how their current learning connects to future opportunities
- Inspiration to think broadly about their goals and potential
By hearing directly from professionals, students can see firsthand how dedication, education, and passion translate into meaningful careers.
Who Can Participate?
District 102 is looking for individuals from a broad spectrum of industries and career paths. Whether you work in business, healthcare, trades, technology, public service, the arts, nonprofit leadership, finance, law, hospitality, or any other field—your experience can make a difference.
Speakers will have the opportunity to:
- Present to 5th and 6th grade elementary students, or
- Speak with 7th and 8th grade junior high students
Specific dates and times will be provided once speakers are confirmed with the Family Liaisons.
How to Get Involved
If you—or someone you know—would be a great fit to speak about your career, District 102 encourages you to complete the Career Day interest form.
