Volunteer at the La Grange Holiday Walk

Locations include: Village Hall, La Grange Road Train Station, Stone Avenue Station, Calendar Avenue
We need your help in putting on La Grange’s premiere holiday event, the Holiday Walk! This event featured an arrival by Santa and Mrs. Claus, ice sculptures, a kiddie train, a petting zoo, pony rides and more.
Volunteering is easy (and can be done with a friend). All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age (or older).
AVAILABLE POSITIONS
INFO TENT
The central hub of everything! From answering visitor questions to point out locations for other volunteers- you’ll be one of the most seen and depended on volunteers at the event. Don’t worry – we’ll give you easy FAQ sheets that make this volunteer assignment easy!
SHIFTS:
3:30pm – 6:00pm
6:00pm – 8:30pm
SANTA MEET AND GREET
You will rotate from helping to manage the line leading up to the Santa meet and greet to working inside the room where Santa and Mrs. Claus will be greeting visitors. Help keep the line organized and moving!
SHIFT:
4:30pm – 8:30pm
LETTERS TO SANTA
Help set up and run the Letters to Santa station. This volunteer position is inside Stone Avenue Station (on the West End of La Grange). At the end of the night, arrange items for easy pickup by operations crew.
Your job is to keep things flowing and to keep families happy!
SHIFT:
5:30pm – 8:30pm
KIDDIE TRAIN
Help organize the line for the Kiddie Train and make sure the families have fun!
SHIFTS:
3:30pm – 6:00pm
6:00pm – 8:30pm
PETTING ZOO
Help organize the line for the Petting Zoo and keep the families happy!

3:30pm – 6:00pm
6:00pm – 8:30pm
