Cook County Catalyst Grant Offers $100,000 Boost for Local Businesses

Cook County has launched a new Catalyst Grant program designed to help local businesses take their next big step toward growth. Up to 88 Cook County businesses will each receive $100,000 grants to fuel expansion, innovation, and workforce development.

The Catalyst Grant can support a variety of growth opportunities — including hiring or training new talent, upgrading facilities, and expanding operations.

Who Can Apply

This competitive grant opportunity is open to for-profit businesses located in Cook County that meet the following criteria:

  • Have at least one full-time employee in addition to the owner (in 2024 and at the time of application)

  • Earn annual revenue between $500,000 and $10 million in both 2023 and 2024

  • Demonstrate business growth from 2023 to 2024 in profit and jobs

  • Operate within one of the following industries:

    • Construction

    • Manufacturing

    • Finance and Insurance

    • Professional Services

    • Information Technology (IT)

    • Real Estate

Application Timeline

Applications are open now through October 31, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. CT.
