A New Chapter Begins: Jackson Square Mall Owners Purchase La Grange Park Antique Mall

A familiar name in the local vintage and antiques community is beginning a new chapter.

The owners of the former Jackson Square Mall in downtown La Grange have officially purchased the La Grange Park Antique Mall, continuing their journey in the antiques and collectibles space after leaving their previous downtown location.

In a recent social media announcement, the Jackson Square team shared that after spending more than a year searching for the right next home throughout the Chicagoland area, they found an opportunity much closer to home.

Rather than leaving the region, the owners — longtime La Grange residents themselves — have taken ownership of the La Grange Park Antique Mall from fellow La Grange natives Linda and John, who were ready to pass along the responsibility of operating the beloved destination.

The transition also marks an upcoming retirement for longtime mall manager Nancy of Budget Box Inc., who has managed the La Grange Park Antique Mall for the past four years. In their announcement, the new owners acknowledged Nancy’s impact on the business and local community, noting her support of nonprofits, local businesses, and the antique mall itself.

“Nancy has become a La Grange Park staple,” the new ownership team shared, encouraging visitors to stop by before her retirement on May 31.

For many local shoppers and antique enthusiasts, the news represents a continuation rather than an ending. Jackson Square Mall built a following in downtown La Grange for its mix of vintage finds, antiques, collectibles, home décor, and unique vendor spaces. Now, those familiar elements may find new life in La Grange Park under what appears to be an evolving identity: the Jackson Square Collective.

While details of future plans are still emerging, the owners have hinted that there is more to come as they settle into the space and begin shaping the mall’s next chapter.

Community members are encouraged to stop in, welcome the new owners, and support the transition as this longtime local destination enters a new era.
