Stephanie Posey Named Bob Butler Rotary Business Person of the Year

The Rotary Club of La Grange has named Stephanie Posey of Posey Law Group as the recipient of the Bob Butler Rotary Business Person of the Year Award.

Established to recognize outstanding leadership within the La Grange business community, the award honors individuals who demonstrate professional excellence, community involvement, volunteerism, and a lasting commitment to the betterment of the community. In 2014, the Rotary Club renamed the award in honor of longtime member Bob Butler.

Stephanie Posey is the founder of Posey Law Group, a La Grange-based law firm focused on real estate, estate planning, business law, and local government law. After spending a decade in a traditional law firm environment, she founded Posey Law Group in 2009 with the goal of creating a more approachable and empathetic legal practice centered around helping clients navigate some of life’s most important transitions with clarity and confidence.

Known for combining legal expertise with a highly personal approach, Stephanie describes herself as a “collaborative attorney with an entrepreneurial spirit,” helping clients through everything from launching businesses and purchasing homes to planning estates and preparing for the future.

Beyond her professional work, Stephanie has remained deeply involved in the local community. She currently serves on the executive board of the La Grange Business Association and is also a Park Commissioner for the Park District of La Grange.

The Rotary Club’s Vocational Service Committee selects the Business Person of the Year recipient based on Rotary’s longstanding principles of ethics, goodwill, integrity, and service. Those values are reflected in Rotary’s well-known “Four-Way Test”:

Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Founded in Chicago in 1905, Rotary has grown into a worldwide organization focused on humanitarian service, leadership, and community impact. The Rotary Club of La Grange continues that mission locally through service projects, charitable initiatives, and civic engagement throughout the community.

Stephanie now joins a distinguished list of past honorees recognized for their impact on the La Grange business community, including John R. Madden, Ruth Palmer, Robert E. Butler, Dick & Wayne DeVries, John Rot, Joan Smothers, Tom Cunningham & Steve DeSitter, Cindy Perkins, Phil Fornaro, Phil and Steve Palmer, Maria Marciniec, Nick Dubak, Nancy Allodi

The LGBA congratulates Stephanie Posey on this well-deserved recognition and thanks the Rotary Club of La Grange for continuing to celebrate leadership, integrity, and service within the local business community.
