DESCRIPTION:We realize attending any type of support group for the first time can be overwhelming. We want to assure you that this is a welcoming\, safe space for you. We keep the group small so that everyone can get to know each other and have a chance to share and there is no fee. Topics may include: solo parenting\, how to find a path forward\, building a support network\, how to plan for your future\, self-care and more. \nLegacy Guild is pleased to again offer a Fall 2025 session of Embracing the Struggles Together bereavement group for all widow/widower parents with children (toddlers through college age) who reside in the Lyons Township High School District 204 area. \nMentorship\, and Fellowship are the pillars of the Legacy Guild. SUMMARY:Mindful Movement
DESCRIPTION:For adults (age 18+) of all fitness levels\, this free program (funded through a grant from Lyons Township Mental Health Commission) blends gentle movement—such as stretching\, functional exercises\, balance\, and light strength work—with mindfulness practices like deep breathing and guided reflection.\nLed by trained instructors\, Mindful Movement supports stress reduction\, strength building\, mobility\, and healthy lifestyle habits in a welcoming and supportive environment. \nRSVP to our one-hour sessions which includes: \n\nA brief\, inspiring message on the benefits of physical activity\, mental wellness\, and mindfulness (our “why” for being there!)\n35–40 minutes of guided movement and 5–10 minutes of mindfulness practice\nAbout 5 minutes for unstructured social connection and optional one-on-one consultation with instructors as needed\n\nAt the end of each session\, participants receive a resource packet to support their ongoing physical and mental well-being.
