Through athletic\, academic\, and art programs\, CAAEL empowers students facing challenges such as emotional or learning disabilities\, behavioral struggles\, social isolation\, autism\, anxiety\, depression\, truancy\, drug dependency\, gang involvement and more…….\n🏆 CAAEL at a Glance:\n✔️ students from 30+ Illinois counties\n✔️ 5\,000 students served annually\n✔️ 1\,100+ events each year promoting sportsmanship\, teamwork\, and responsibility\n✔️ All activities happen during school hours\, requiring students to meet academic\, attendance\, and behavior standards each week\nWhile many Illinois students have access to IHSA-sanctioned sports and clubs\, thousands of at-risk students are left out because they’re staffed out of their home schools and sent to alternative schools—but CAAEL ensures they get the same opportunities to learn\, grow\, and succeed.\nHelp us help these incredibly deserving kids by attending our event\, spreading the word\, becoming a sponsor\, making a donation\, etc.\n⭐Our PURPOSE\nChicagoland Area Alternative Education League (CAAEL) exists to create interscholastic activities missing from alternative education schools\n⭐Our VISION\nWe envision a world where students with unique needs outside the typical education system lead positive and fulfilling lives\n⭐Our MISSION\nOur mission is to empower students and teachers in alternative schools by integrating athletic and academic programs into the school day\, fostering personal growth and responsibility
